Cedars-Sinai Endourology Institute - Fellowship in Endourology and Laparoscopic Urology

Description of Program

The Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's Endourology Institute, Department of Surgery, offers a 2 year fellowship in endourology and laparoscopic urology. The fellowship, recognized by the Endourological Society, is geared towards training future leaders in the field of minimally invasive surgery. The established curriculum combines cutting edge research and hands-on clinical experience that will provide the necessary skills to pursue a successful academic career. The first year of the fellowship will be devoted to both basic-science and clinical research activities of fellow’s choosing. Resources are in place and available to facilitate research projects. At the end of the first year our Fellow will have acquired the skills necessary to function as a Primary Investigator of a major project. The second year of the fellowship will be devoted to acquiring advanced endourologic and laparoscopic surgical skills. The fellow will work closely with both Dr. Gerhard Fuchs and Christopher Ng. The clinical fellowship experience will include a large volume of surgical cases. In addition, the fellows will be involved in organized teaching activities (residents, medical students, private urologists), including bi-weekly grand rounds, teaching conferences and other workshops.
